Miss Margaret Starrs

Margaret Mary Starrs was appointed a member of the Australian Competition Tribunal in 1998. She has an economics degree from the University of Adelaide and masters degree in transport economics from the University of Tasmania.

Miss Starrs has worked in the transport sector for over 30 years, specialising in policy and regulatory analysis, economic evaluation, and costing and pricing of transport services. During that time she has worked in government agencies and consulting firms, and currently has her own consulting business. She has also been appointed to committees investigating such things as road safety, public transport fares and rail strategy.
