The Tribunal has made a direction (pdf 48 kb) giving leave to the users and consumer groups referred to in s 71R(1)(b) of the National Electricity Law to lodge written submissions in accordance with that direction.

Australian Competition Tribunal Consumer Consultations
Limited Merits Review

Pursuant to s 71R(1)(b) of the National Electricity Law, a Public Consultation Forum is to be held by the Australian Competition Tribunal in relation to the above Applications for Review on 6 & 7 October 2016 at the Federal Court of Australia, Court Room 6K, Owen Dixon Commonwealth Law Courts Building, 305 William Street, Melbourne from 10.15 am.

If you would like to attend this Public Forum, please register your interest by emailing the Executive Officer of the Tribunal, Susi Ivandic, at competitiontribunalregistry@fedcourt.gov.au. Please include your organisation's name, contact details and the names and roles of those proposed to attend.

If you would like to participate in the forum as a speaker, you are also requested to identify the topics you wish to address, briefly outlining their relevance to one or more of the grounds for review being considered by the Tribunal and/or the consequences of modifying the original distribution determinations.  Only one speaker will be allowed from each attending organisation. Responses are to be received by 5 pm on 29 September 2016. The Tribunal reserves the right to limit participation to speakers who it believes are able to assist it with its deliberations.
