Dr Bill Beerworth

Bill is an Investment Banker with a background in Corporate Law.  He was educated in Australia and the United States and worked on Wall Street for 3 years.  He held a number of senior positions before founding Beerworth & Partners Limited, a corporate advisory firm:

• Executive Director of HSBC Australia
• Managing Director of HSBC Australia Corporate Finance
• A Senior Partner of Malleson Stephen Jaques,
• Senior Assistant Secretary of the Australian Attorney-General’s Department responsible for corporate and securities policy

Bill has been Chairman or a non-Executive Director of a number of listed companies.  He is a Director of Australand, a major diversified property company and is Chairman of Macquarie Graduate School of Management and of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. He was a member of the Financial System Inquiry (the Wallis Committee) whose Report was implemented by the Commonwealth Government to restructure the Australian Financial System.
